I *love* the “fblue” theme and would love to use it for my website but Im having problems with “photopress”?

Everything works perfectly but when I click an image, or when I go to the Photo Album, the menu/sidebar (on the right) appears *below* the album and chopped off?!

I have followed the instructions on the photopress site to “repair” this, but is says to replace the “loop” on the theme index page with the details of the album: http://familypress.net/photopress/

But your index doesnt have a “loop” – is this a CSS problem or something to do with the PHP – Im new, Im learning and I have tried all I can?!

Any help, anytime would be fan-bloody-tastic!

Scratch my last comment Fredrik!

I worked it out – Im pretty proud of myself actually! I’ll tell you what I did just in case someone else has this “problem” and wants a solution, save u some time!

I opened the “page.php” file from the “fblue” theme directory and deleted lines 9 to 17:

“> ” rel=”bookmark”>

And replaced them with the lines from the PhotoPress “pp_album.php” file. I added *these* lines where I deleted the other lines:

*And it fixed the problem with the menus and sidebars!*

Now it might not sound like much but Im not trained to program PHP and I only know a little CSS, so it was thanks to your comments and well sorted code that I got it done!

So THANKS HEAPS Fredrick – its all under control now!

One question about the templates for pages. I am trying to get rid of the sidebar blue background so that I can use the whole width of the main content for large photos and other wide content on select pages. How do I get rid of the blue?

I love the f3Green theme, but am having a problem I hope you can help with. When viewing in IE, a large chunk of space is inserted before the first image in a post. Subsequent images are fine, and everything looks great in FireFox. This only happens with the top post, first image, in IE. When I change the theme, the space disappears, so I believe the culprit is somewhere in your theme. I really love it, so I don’t want to change themes, but the space problem is annoying. Any ideas?

fantastic easy to read css / php for us noobies, a great help. Allowed me to incorporate smaller changes without too much hair pulling.

I loved the conditional statements which are newish to me (I’m fresh), keeping links on the homepage as an example, this is certainly good swedish design lol.

First off..thank you thank you thank you! I am definitely donating to your cause. Too much time and energy to not get some sort of compensation.

Secondly, I am having an issue that Kivi discussed earlier. Everything works perfect, particularly in Firefox. My only issue is when attempting to display an image or video in the first post. When I add the embed or img tags, Internet Explorer adds space prior to placing the image. You may have responded to Kivi, but I couldn’t find it on the list.

Congratulations on your themes, they combine simplicity, functionality and very attractive designs.

I LOVE your F3Green, but unfortunately I am also having this large chunk of blank space before an image on the first post issue in IE (FireFox works fine). I downloaded a fresh copy from your site yesterday, and still the darn big blank space shows up on IE.

I search the WP Support forums for answers on this white blank space issue in IE, and they say it will go away when the XHTML validation errors are fixed. This error it’s really a pity in what I think is the BEST looking 3-column theme I’ve seen.

Im currently using fspring on my blog, just on test bases. I modified some colours but something is happening that i just dont understand…Half the blog is just turning bold!

I just finished uploading fSpring Widgets, and plaed with the sidebar. (No code editing, just the widget bit). The comments on the sidebar all seem out of place – I’ve tried it in both IE nad Firefox. The validator dosent pick up any errors with the comments, just li tags ( ?? ).. The only thing I modified was the sidebar to align left usign a div tag..

Any ideas on this otherwise perfect and amazing theme?

after blockquote is seems to be a negative margin in tag. When there are many quotations in text, the negative margin becomes too big so it is difficult to read posts. For example you can read my site in IE 6. In Firefox it works propely.

I just made a fresh install of wordpress , and inclued your f3green theme.

I just poste 1 article , with the text “test” , to be shure that the error i have didn’t result from any change that i have made to the template.

when i go to IExplorer , the theme have no problem at the home page , but when i clic on the title of my article to read the post , i have my problem again.

It seems that you have inverted the place of the left collumn and the center.

Ex : My calender and my links are in the center of the page , and my article is on the left side of the page.

Could it be an error in the template ?

When i use another 3 collumn template everything works fine.

I’ve got the same problem as Nick. I edited the template CSS a little bit (changed a few minor things), but the comments didn’t work before I changed anything, and my changes didn’t have anything to do with comments. I’ve had the same problem with all my templates (from Kubrick to BlueHorizon to fSpring). I assume it’s a CSS issue? Any thoughts?

Hi, I’m using your fOrange theme on my website and it’s great, but I have one problem with the right sidebar. When I’m on the homepage everything is OK, but when I click on the post (ie. http://continent.xhosting.cz/wordpress/?p=4) the sidebar is at the bottom of the page. I made only some changes to the text (translated something to Czech) so I checked that with original files with the same result. With your another theme fSpring which I’m using on my second blog sidebar is OK. Can you please look at that? Thank you.

I have always loved your themes. I am currently using your fUnique theme and it is my favorite one. Very Web 2.0 looking lol. I like that in this theme I can use emoticons without the little dashes around them. I just made a few minor changes, like the comments and edit links are no longer bold (fixed about 20 validation errors). Overall I just love it.

I was searching for the mistake myself I’ve corrected it by this – in file style.css, line 255 changed width:100%; to width:99%; and now the sidebar is on the right even when selected post is shown. The problem was in comments form width.

To echo Lars’ question, displaying the post count next to the archive or category list in the sidebar causes the count to appear on the *next* line.

I’ve fudged the .css as much as I can, to no avail. Any suggestions???

I’m having trouble with adding Google Adsense for Search to the sidebar. I am using fSpring on my site ( http://w3rd.org ) and the radial buttons aren’t appearing directly under the search input box like they should.

When I put the code in just an editor, it appears to work fine, but in the sidebar, it’s not.

There is also a significant space below and above that I’d like to remove if possible .. I’m not sure if I need to edit something in the style.css, or the sidebar widget source, or what.. but it looks very out of place.

Hoping you can help. Thanks a bunch, and I really enjoy your themes.

I��m trying to use fNice and my blog is in portuguese…
On the “Recent Comments” section I keep getting weird characters for accents (the blog is in portuguese, so there��s a lot of accents).
Anyone have any ideas why? The rest (recent posts and main post) work just fine.
Also the commenter link shows the accent ok.

Fred, I’m not sure if you realised, with the fspring theme:

the space between the end of the latest post (from the comments link), till the begining of the 2nd post is bigger. It is only here that is bigger. Spaces between posts 2-3, 3-4, 4-5, etc., are evenly spaced…

Is this deliberate?

… i love fdawn a lot. however might be a tiny hiccup in firefox / safari / epiphany – but not in opera : when i input more than ~12 characters into the “weblog title” it wraps the line around. strangely it does it only for latin and chinese characters, not for figures like “123456789012345″.

Wonderful themes! I am having a slight issue with fnice, however. For some reason, it is only displaying one post. I have set the options in Wordpress to display 20 posts, but fnice only displays one. I have tried other themes without this problem – it seems to be unique to fnice.

Check the permissions on the files. I’ve noticed the zipfiles have odd permissions that need to be changed to allow them to be used on Linux boxes. Hope that helps.

Could be a NIRF (newbie incapable of reading FAQ’s) issue but I note that the search function of the template doesn’t ‘find’ content in a ‘page’ – as opposed to posts.

Hi Fredrik. Brought a new problem this around.

Theme: Fblue

There is some problem with the blogname thingy in the header. I checked in IE and opera, the site looks perfect. But in firefox the blogname just can’t wrap. The last word in the blogname moves to the new line. I tried few changes in codes but could not do it. Is it because of the header ad i tried to place or some other change i need to make?

I’m using the fspring theme at my site (i changed a lot, but it’s still someway your theme) and I have a problem with IE.
If I insert the iCalendar (ec3) into the sidebar it’s sliding down to the bottom of the page. This occurs only in IE, not with Firefox.

Sorry for bothering again: I have a problem with the fheaven theme. When adding a page the sidebar drops down and is below the page entry. Actually I see the problem alreadayy on your demo page when clicking on “Photos”. Or is it just a browser related problem (although I have the same problem when using firefox or safari).

I want to use your fDawn-Theme for my private blog and think, that I change it very soon . But there are two questions I cannot answer, so I hope that you can help me (nothing found about this, sorry ).

First ist the black line on the bottom of the side quite over the footer. Is it possible, to exclude this line from CSS?

And then the IE7 *grmpf*… I’m very happy about the comments-number. In Firefox it works very well, but IE let this number appear behind the name of the poster. You can see this problem (and my “hobby-CSSing” *g*) here:

i displaced the blogtitel on the fdawn theme with padding-top on #header h1 in the style.css. Now the Page looks in Firefox 1.5.0.9 very good, quite the thing.

How would I go about changing the text color in the comments section? What I mean is in fblue… the area that asks for your name, email and website… the text color is white and the background color is a light color so it makes it hard to see the text. I’ve looked in styles.css and can pinpoint the section, but can’t seem to figure out how to change that text color to a darker color.

Help from Fredrik or anyone who might know this answer would be greatly appreciated.

hello! i’m interested in your fSpring theme. i’ve was adding pages, and i noticed that they’re not in any particular order, though it looks like reverse alphabetical. is there a way to change it so that they are using the page order ID’s? i’m assuming that it’s that “wp_list_pages” line in the header.php. but i’m not sure what it is? i’ve been reading this:

Have installed fSpring theme after doing WP 2.1 upgrade. Like it a lot and good comments from readers.

One major problem remains. My links or blogroll not in sidebar. I can follow detailed instructions but am not a css or php junkie. Please advise if there is a plug-in I need or how to add my blogroll links.

btw, the blogroll does show correctly with other themes, so the db is intact.

I found a problem in the search function of the fblue Theme. There is no value after the action command. When i tried to search after a search the results were not complete. Frank Helmschrott a friend of mine said that there must be a parameter for the action command that points to the homepage. Because he couldn’t remember it i used “/” as parameter. This solved the search problem, but it will not work for users that uses i.g. a static homepage for their blog.

I don’t know where to find the “fspring widgets” theme. I downloaded the normal fspring 1.0 theme but this doesn’t seem to work with widgets. I installed and activated the plugin correctly ’cause it worked with the default kubrick theme. I think that I only need the functions.php right? Can you or someone else help me?

you know what really sucks? why do the best themes have something stupid like “FREE WEB HOSTING” or some type of adverising in the footer. It’s so annoying and shouldn’t be there. you should just advertise it once tot he person who’s downloading it… who wants to display it on their website?? Can we take those out? Thanks……………….

How can I remove the comment section on every page, I got 4 pages, About, links, archive and Contact?

First off your themes are amazing! I am using your Dawn theme and love it but the seperator.gif isn’t showing up. I have it uploaded to the images folder and it is calling it in the CSS file.

Hey, Fredrik! Hope all is well. I am considering using one of your themes (fgreen, f3green, or especially fLight) for our blog at GL (girls’ life) magazine.

But I have a question/prob: I can’t seem to activate comments on the “fLight” PAGES (not posts) even though comments are turned on. Any idea?

Also, is there an easy way to add a header image and/or remove the gray image that goes across the fLight theme. Love it, but it does not work as well for our audience.

I have been using the fgreen theme since 2005. It has served me well, but now I’m interested in modifying the header a bit. I would like to place an image next to my logo, but when I attempt to do so, it will not show up in the header. The logo does move over to allow for the image, but you can’t see it. Any suggestions?

I think you didn’t designed this theme to show with entry numbers but we liked it so much that we don’t want to change it. Is there way to correct it?
