Don’t you just hate

… when you just bought a new computer and realize that there’is a new model out on the marked the week after your purchase. I bought an IBM Thinkpad R52 and I now really want a MacBook Pro, I just can’t get it out of my head
. And if I mention this issue to my wife I just get the non-understanding: “But you just bought a new coumputer”. Women just don’t understand what a man needs.

So now I’m trying to figure out how I will manage to buy a MacBook without my wife noticing
. Perhaps I can paint the Mac black and make it two inches thick . No that doesn’t do it, I probably need to have a very long conversation with her explaining what the Mac have and the IBM lacks

his patient has ED. Screening is advised for males around 40regular intervals (the recommendation is six-monthly) for buy viagra.

. However I don’t expect much understanding from a woman who is satisfied with a 4 years old IBM R40e
. If I could just convince her that running Photoshop and Dreamweaver at the same time takes a lot more computer recources then Windows Messenger and Outlook Express do.

I really would like to run the MacBook with Boot Camp giving me a choise of operation system. I know I can always run OSX86 on it but that isn’t the same thing
. If you own a MacBook I’d really like some reviews, especially if you’re running Boot Camp.

The 17″ seem a little too big for my taste, I’m looking for a portable not a desktop substitute and why can’t Apple put two buttons on the freakin’ machine. If I want to run Windows under Boot Camp how do I do a right click without an external mouse?

Hey, don’t group all of us women together as being non-lovers of anything geeky! I, too, lust after a MacBook that can run Boot Camp on it. How uber-cool would it be to be able to choose between Mac OS X and WinXP at startup??? Alas, I haven’t the budget for it at the moment so I’ll just keep dreaming..

What can say? We can never really be one step ahead of technology. I currenty operate with a 15″ Powerbook but I’m trying to justify the reason to get a 17′ MacBook.

Emily, your’re right, not all women are like my wife…
    The MacBook is

    Uber-cool: Yes
    Pricey: Yes
    Geek-factor:10
    Am I a Geek: Yes

this happens to me all the time. i purchase something and almost immediately wish that i had purchased a different model, etc. my wife is usually pretty understanding because she knows how much of a geeky nerd that i am. getting the newest hardware, however, is usually pretty tough since i’ve already explained to her how well linux runs on older laptops and such. stupid me!! :-)

my dream machine is a simple, little, 12 inch ibook. oh, well, one of these days…… :-)

      I’m proud of my 12″ G4 iBook.
I’m absolutely in love with the 15″ MacBookPro.. I want it desperately :(

Hahah well.. maybe your wife doesn’t understand. But I’m sure there are loads of women who do or even have the same problem.

I’m currently a poor college student so I have to constantly be on the look out to get a great deal out of all the things I buy. When it comes to the MacBook Pro *sigh* it’s sorta out of my price league, but I’m very interested in the Intel chips Apple is using and of course Boot Camp. But I’ve always believed patience will be rewarded (or maybe that’s an excuse for my slow money saving). Anyway I’m currently looking forward to the new Mac OS Leopard (with Boot Camp). So maybe I’ll be able to score a nice ibook (less costly) with Windows XP *yaaiiii* Or maybe I should assist my parents in buying a monster desktop with Windows Vista. Then again, I really want a new pc NOW 😥

Ugh it’s too hard to keep up with all the new technological developments *sigh*

It’s funny you mention this, but this is why I’ve put off a purchase of a new computer for such a long time. They always end up being a “waste of money” in some sense of the word.
