I sat down in front of my computer and did some searches on this site but I got frustrated how hard it was to find the search term within all the search results, so I made a search term highlighter plugin and it’s working quite well. Go ahead and try a search. As you can see the search term entered in the search form is now highlighted and much easier to find.
I don’t know if there is such a plugin already available but I rather write my own. If there are any interest in this plugin I’ll release it.

Thanks for making so many great themes and plugins available free. I think this search term highligher plugin will be very cool to have.
Just a possible bug – after searching for a term, if I try to click the “Read More” link, I get an error because it is pointing to: http://www.fahlstad.se/2006/08/24/search-%3Cspan%20style=‘background:#ffff66′%3Eterm%3C/span%3E-highlighter/#more-269 which the server doesn’t seem to like.
